Board of Directors
The Killeen Police Employee Association is governed by a Board of Directors consisting of a President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary, Sergeant at Arms, and four Board Members. The Board is elected by its members every other year.
The board members serve the association by conducting scheduling of meetings, association sponsored events, maintaining and improving department morale. The board members act as liaisons between the officers and the command staff when dealing with personnel issues.
President: BRIAN PRUITT
Brian Pruitt has been in law enforcement since 1990. Brian has worked as a Jailer, Patrol Officer Detective, and Traffic Investigator and he holds a Master Peace Officer Certification.
Brian is currently assigned to the Patrol Division, Traffic Unit, at Killeen Police Department where he serves as a Motor Officer and Accident Investigator. Brian is an instructor for Standardized Field Sobriety Testing and DWI investigation and report writing at the Killeen Police Department Basic Police Academy and for TXSFST, where he teaches Field Sobriety Testing and DWI Investigation throughout the state.
Brian has served as an Expert Witness in the discipline of Standardized Field Sobriety Testing.

Secretary: Juan De La Cruz
Juan was born and raised in southern California. He served in the United States Army, which included two tours to Iraq.
Juan has been with the Killeen Police Department for nine years. He has served in various capacities such as a field training officer, crisis negotiator and police instructor. Juan is currently a patrol sergeant assigned to the evening shift. On this time off, he enjoys hiking, shooting, reading and attending sporting events.

Sergeant at Arms: Lacy Bobbitt
Lacy is a Master Peace Officer and has dedicated over 10 years of service to the Killeen Police Department. Currently, Lacy works on patrol as a Field Training Officer and is also assigned to the Tactical Response Unit as a Negotiator..
Lacy gained experience through her assignments in both the Major and General Crimes Section of the Criminal Investigations Division. During her tenure, Lacy has earned multiple awards to include the Life Saving Award and Civic Achievement Award. Lacy has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration and is married with three children.
Board Member: Ronald Jackson
Ronald is a 20 year veteran of the U.S. Army and six year veteran of the Killeen Police Department. He currently serves as a patrol officer and member of the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) unit. He was elected as a sitting board member during the last K.P.E.A. election. He also has an additional duty of testing new applicants in the Physical Readiness Battery (PRB) for the department's hiring process. He enjoys bowling, shooting pool and participating in local community events to enhance the relationships between law enforcement and its citizens.
Board Member: Maurice Jones
Maurice Jones was born and raised in North Carolina. He retired from the U.S Army where he served at different duty stations in the U.S, Korea and Germany. Maurice deployed several times while in the military. He is blessed with 3 wonderful kids, 2 daughters, a son and two grandchildren.
Upon retirement, Maurice joined the Killeen Police Department as a jailer and then went to the police academy and became a police officer. He enjoys working with kids and also working with the citizens in the community to make a positive difference in people’s lives.
Maurice love sports and attending sporting events. Go Cowboys!!
Board Member: Glen Bauer
Glenn is a 30 year retired military veteran and has served the Killeen Police Department for a total of approximately 16 years.
He was elected as the civilian KPEA board member in 2016. Glennstarted with the Killeen Police Department as a Communications Specialist and is currently assigned as a Public Service Officer(PSO). Glenn has worked in communications, at the front desk taking reports, in the jail and as a field training officer for new hires to these positions. Additionally, as another assigned duty, he is one of the two drivers for the Mobile Command Center utilized for the Tactical Response Unit and Special Weapons and Tactics. Glenn was selected as the PSO of the year and has obtained his masters communicators license. Glenn enjoys time with his family.
Board Member: Chris Suess
Christian Suess has been a Police Officer for approximately 8 years and has been at the Killeen Police Department over 4 years and is currently assigned to the COPS Unit. He was elected as a KPEA Board Member back in September 2016. Christian is also assigned to the Killeen S.W.A.T. Team and has been on the team for approximately 3 years.
While on Patrol, Christian was a Field Training Officer and assisted in training new recruits. He carries an Advance Peace Officer License and has his Advance S.W.A.T. Certification among other certifications. Christian enjoys working on cars, play soccer and participate in competitive body building.
